“We Are Not Here For Power, We Are Here For 125 Crore Indians”: PM Modi

PM Modi, the BJP’s biggest star campaigner, will address four rallies in Gujarat today.

PM Modi will address between 32 and 35 rallies in his home state Gujarat, where assembly elections will be held on December 9 and 14. Gujarat is my soul and mother, my relationship with you is that of equality since you call me brother, says PM Modi.

PM Modi says the Congress has not let one opportunity go to humiliate the people of Gujarat. He accuses the Congress of not being serious about development and said the Narmada waters could have reached Kutch 30 years ago. At a rally in Bhuj, he said, “I have the good fortune of knowing every part of Gujarat well.”

PM Modi says that the battle for Gujarat is one between development and dynasty politics. Later in the day, Modi will address rallies in Jasdan town of Rajkot, Dhari in Amreli and Kamrej in Surat district.

The polling for the two-phase elections in the state, having total 182 assembly seats, will take place on December 9 and 14 and votes will be counted on December 18.

While 89 seats of Saurashtra and South Gujarat region will go to polls in the first phase, the election in the remaining 93 constituencies in central and northern regions will be held in the second phase.

PM Modi is set to address a series of rallies in Gujarat for upcoming assembly elections in his home state. He served Gujarat as chief minister for 13 years.

PM Modi visited this part of the state in May and had inaugurated various projects at the Kandla Port and Bachau, both in Kutch district, and addressed a public meeting at Gandhidham and in Bachau.

The star campaigners include Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, Yogi Adityanath and Vasundhara Raje as well as several Gujarat BJP leaders, said Gujarat BJP in-charge Bhupender Yadav.
